College Application Process
SchooLinks 
  • Students must link Common App to SchooLinks. Watch video to learn how.
  • Students must assign teacher recommender(s) in SchooLinks. Watch video to learn how. Go to minute mark 3:40.

Transcript Requests for College Applications 
  • Transcripts will be processed through SchooLinks by the counselor
  • ​Students must add colleges(s) in SchooLinks in order for transcript to be processed. See School Counselor if you need help to do this. 
  • ​COLLEGE ATHLETICS:  Students must request transcript through Parchment.

​Letter of Recommendation
Students should contact teachers and counselors about writing a letter of recommendation. Please allow 2 weeks for teachers and counselors to write these letters. Letter of Recommendation Form. ​

SCHOLARSHIPS & FINANCIAL AID
Scholarships
  • You can access scholarship information by logging into SchooLinks and selecting the 'Finances'​ icon.  Here you will be able to create a scholarship match, learn about the various scholarships and their due dates.  Please continue to check back as we will be adding scholarships regularly.
  • LOCAL SCHOLARSHIPS ​

  • ​If a student needs a transcript for a scholarship, they need to submit a request through Parchment.
FAFSA
  • Opens October 1, 2022
  • The State of Illinois requires that all Illinois public high school students complete either the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) or the Alternative Application for Illinois Financial Aid (Alternative Application) as a prerequisite to receiving a high school diploma. 
  • For students who choose to not file an application, a waiver may be completed by your parent/guardian and emailed to the Senior Class House.  If you have already filed, no further action must be taken.  If you plan to file or submit a waiver, please do so by April 1, 2023.  Waivers can be scanned and emailed or dropped off in the Senior Class House to Nyurka Del Castillo (Nyurka_delcastillo@ipsd.org
